Grin 27: The New Language Of Cycling

GRIN27 is an Los Angeles based endurance sportswear brand created by Dani Noguera. It started less like a traditional cycling company and more like a response to what cycling actually feels like in the city. Traffic, heat, pavement, weird routes, group rides, suffering, music, skate energy, and the imperfect reality of moving through Los Angeles.

The brand originally began as a blog with information for new cyclists before developing into kit, apparel, and community focused products. That origin matters because GRIN27 does not feel like it was built from the top down. It feels like it came from inside the ride itself. On Cycling Fashion Week, Noguera described the brand’s roots, its city riding perspective, and inspirations from music, skateboarding, photography, and real cycling culture.

Its slogan, “By us, for everyone… as long as you suffer,” sums up the tone. GRIN27 is inclusive, but not soft. The brand openly frames itself around culture, wellness, representation, design, and sustainability, with endurance sportswear designed in California and responsibly manufactured in Portugal. It also says it keeps production intentionally limited, releasing small batches under ethical guidelines.

Product wise, GRIN27 moves across cycling kits, bib shorts, jerseys, socks, trail hats, tech tees, frame bags, and off bike pieces. Current pieces include SS25 Team Bib Shorts, Snake Skin Pro Jerseys, Dusk Camo Pro Jerseys, merino socks, cargo bibs, aero jerseys, and trail hats. The pricing sits in the premium independent cycling space, with jerseys around $175 and bibs around $240.

What separates GRIN27 is the visual language. It does not look like clean corporate performance wear. It pulls from underground graphics, music culture, skateboarding, and a slightly chaotic endurance mindset. The pieces have names like “Chaos Magnet,” “Sacred Return,” “Bare Fists,” “Destroyer,” and “RECKONING!”, which makes the brand feel more like a world than a product line.

The community side is just as important as the clothes. GRIN27 has hosted group rides, repair workshops, and beginner friendly spaces for new cyclists. Its collaboration with Usal Project’s Satellite in Los Angeles positions the brand inside a physical community hub built around outdoor culture, local nature, endurance sports, and accessibility.

GRIN27 is interesting because it sits between cycling, trail, streetwear, and wellness without making any of it feel forced. It is not trying to look polished in the traditional performance sense. It is rougher, more emotional, more lived in. The brand understands that modern endurance culture is not just about training. It is about identity, community, obsession, recovery, suffering, and the strange joy of doing hard things with other people.
